 The objective of the project is to develop a full service environmental company with emphasis on hazardous waste management, environmental engineering, hazardous waste transportation, treatment and disposal, and other related environmental services.
Jubail Industrial City has become known world wide as an advanced industrial complex with industrial standards that meet or exceed industrialized world standards.
As a major component of industrial standards, environmental compliance is mandated by local and international regulation in order to protect human health and the environment as well as achieve international industrial recognition.
Environmental standards for Jubail Industrial City have been published and enforced by the Royal Commission of Jubail and Yanbu. Local generators have adhered to RC Environmental
Regulations (RCER) and complied with hazardous waste treatment
and disposal regulations.
Based on established treatment standards for hazardous waste, and the conclusions of the feasibility study conducted by EDCO, additional TSDF capacity is needed to provide adequate capacity for local and national industries, as well as an alternative disposal facility to ensure full compliance with established environmental regulations.
